North Dakota State PIRC
North Dakota State PIRC is a statewide Parental Information Resource Center funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Innovation and Improvement, under Grant #U310A060021. The U.S. Department of Education created the Parental Information Resource Center (PIRC) program to provide parents, schools and community organizations with information and assistance to understand how children develop and what they need to succeed in school. The PIRC works closely with parents, educators and community organizations to strengthen partnerships so that children can reach high academic standards through parent involvement.

The North Dakota State PIRC serves as the State Leader for the National Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program and provides technical assistance and trainings to early childhood sites using PAT. In addition, the North Dakota State PIRC provides funding to numerous sites across the state with the "Countdown to Kindergarten" program, which is a collaboration with the NDSU Home Extension Office.
